Gears & Beers
Gears + Beers is a fun, non-competitive cycling event run each October long weekend by Wollundry Rotary, offering six rides from a family-friendly 10km to the iconic Dirty 130, all followed by a community festival in Victory Memorial Gardens with food, music and craft beer. The event is powered by more than 150 volunteers and delivers a relaxed, community-driven day that appeals to everyone from first-timers to seasoned cyclists.

Cycling + Craft Beer Festival
3 - 4 October (long weekend)
Since 2014 the Gears + Beers has been organised and run by the Wollundry Rotary Club in Wagga Wagga every October long weekend. The concept is simple – a range of friendly rides with the emphasis on fun, followed by an afternoon of music, food and craft beer at the accompanying festival in Victory Memorial Gardens.
The Gears & Beers isn’t your average cycling event. For a start, there’s no racing. With six rides on offer, varying from a 10km ride around town – which includes a stop at a local strawberry farm with free ice cream and is very popular with families, to the legendary Dirty 130 gravel ride, there is something for everyone from first timers to serious cyclists.
All rides have aid stations along the way and the whole day has a strong community vibe, especially the festival that follows where you will find friends, food, entertainment and, of course, beers.
The festival relies heavily on volunteers, with over 150 people from other Rotary clubs and a wide range of local organisations and members of the public giving their time to make sure the weekend runs smoothly and is a fantastic experience for all.
