United for a better community
Making a Difference in Wagga and Beyond Empowering Change through Service United for a Flourishing Community.
Your involvement, no matter how small, can make a significant difference.

We're about making a difference
Our members are a diverse range of people from across our community who are connected locally, nationally and internationally. We all share the common desire to make a difference by enabling solutions that have a positive and lasting impact. Our strength is our ability to leverage our members' collective talents and extensive networks.
Rotary is for everybody
Despite being around since 1978, we recognise the importance of making Rotary accessible to everyone, so we are adopting a new contemporary style of Rotary that is flexible and adaptable to people who have career and family obligations.
Small commitment BIG results!
We also want to dispel an outdated notion about Rotary: you don't need to attend weekly meetings to be an active and valued member. While our meetings are a great way to connect with fellow members, stay informed about club activities, and share in the camaraderie, attendance is entirely flexible. We understand that everyone has busy lives filled with work, family, and personal commitments. Our members contribute in ways that work for them—whether that's helping at events, lending their skills to projects, or simply being part of our network. We only ask that you give what you can, when you can. This is Rotary reimagined for modern life: meaningful community impact without the rigid expectations of the past
Community Engagement
Events not only bring the community together but also raise funds for the many charitable causes we support. The club’s flagship event is the Gears and Beers, now in it’s 12th year and going strong. If you would like to be involved or have an idea for an event or community project that could make Wagga even better, get in touch.
Youth Development
Wollundry Rotary supports a wide range of programs for youth, with an annual youth budget of around $50k. The Noel Barnes Memorial Scholarship and the CSU Science Scholarship are local programs that were started by the club and have been running for many years. The club also supports many Rotary youth programs and provides funding to local students to participate. These programs are developing the next generation of leaders. See the Youth section for more information.
International and Humanitarian Aid
The club participates in global initiatives including Rotary’s flagship project End Polio Now, plus other programs under the Rotary Foundation’s focus areas of disease prevention, education, and economic development, such as Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM) and Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC). We also support a number of excellent projects run by Wagga Locals that are doing amazing work in health and education in Cambodia, Fiji and The Democratic Republic of Congo.
